Here's what we'll do together:

G-Star Raw has implemented different software applications supporting the business worldwide which require not only state of the art software solutions and processes in all business areas, but also integrating them and G-Star partners, portals, vendors and customers. The Business Applications Consultant will participate in all ICT activities related to supporting those solutions and partners integrating them from the functional and technical point of view, working under the supervision and directives of the Team Lead. The Team Lead will be responsible for the full systems lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation of functional solutions.  The Consultant will support the Team Lead in achieving it, taking over tasks assigned by the Team Lead. The Consultant will work closely with our Business and other IT Teams and must demonstrate individual functional and professional knowledge to ensure that the work products and deliverables are of the highest caliber to ensure Business and our customer’s satisfaction.

Your tasks & responsibilities:
The Business Applications Consultant will participate in the planned projects and will be responsible for the proper set up and use of the systems. Furthermore, you know the (im)possibilities of the application and advise the company on how to use it in the most efficient way. 
As Business Applications Consultant you will participate in implementation & rollout projects or support & maintenance projects but also other applications supporting our Business when it comes to integration of different software solutions or business partners. Based on user requirements analysis and activities assigned by the Team Lead, the Business Applications Consultant will prepare functional design and specifications, system configuration, perform relevant testing and deployment of the designed business solution.
As we use SAG WebMethods, preferably the Consultant understands configuration dependencies and interrelationships between separate functional modules of SAG WebMethods and provide expertise into the definition and resolution of issues in this area with this knowledge.
As a Business Applications Consultant, you will have the following Tasks and Responsibilities supporting your Team Lead:

  • To analyze the workload;
  • To own the solutions developed in all areas for which your team is responsible, paying special attention to the integration with other business solutions and applications;
  • In coaching other Team members.

As an Integrations and IT Consultant, you will have the following Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Participating in Integration implementation projects reporting to the Team Lead and or Project Manager/s;
  • Gather customer requirements: Judge them on feasibility and impact within the standard (WebMethods) possibilities;
  • Develop solutions and implement the changes (WebMethods customizations and programming within standard);
  • Answer user questions and resolve incidents;
  • Keep standards in system changes through review, advice and acceptance of the specifications of the proposed system changes;
  • Perform functional testing and user acceptance test; 
  • Release management;
  • Establish and maintain release (user) documentation.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Education: ideally a University degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 4 years of Integrations project experience including hands-on functional configuration, facilitation and communication to customers and stakeholders
  • Experience working in a global Integrations environment
  • Working knowledge in EDI and TN (Trading Network) (must)
  • Experience in handling XML, Flat File, EDI Standards (must)
  • Strong knowledge on transport protocols – AS2, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP (must)
  • Knowledge in developing the web services (SOAP and REST)
  • Knowledge in Service Oriented Architecture and Web Services.
  • Good understanding on the principles of ESB, SOA, Event-Based programming.
  • Excellent debugging and analytical skills
  • Ability to develop good technical designs with all the required considerations – scalability, performance, architecture. Design solutions leveraging industry's best practices
  • Candidate should possess good communication skills


  • Experience working on Full Life Cycle SAG WebMethods implementations
  • SAG WebMethods certification is a plus
