As the Director of Merchandise non-denim, you will be responsible for developing and implementing merchandising strategies specifically for non-denim product lines. Your role will involve strategic planning, market analysis, team leadership, budget management, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve financial objectives and optimize product assortments.
You will ensure that the G-STAR assortment is on-brand and optimized for all global distribution channels. You are a market expert when it comes to building collections that consider global and regional needs. You are performance-focused and will drive the assortment across all channels of distribution, building brand equity while developing net sales.
You are a strategic thinker who can keep an eye on the bigger picture while working on the job at hand.
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies specifically for non-denim product lines to achieve financial objectives and optimize product assortments.
- Collaborate with design and product development teams to create compelling non-denim product lines that meet market demands.
- Utilize sales data, research, and trend analytics to inform merchandising decisions and identify new opportunities within the non-denim category.
- Lead and mentor a team of merchandising professionals, ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and maximizing profitability for non-denim lines.
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure cohesive execution of merchandising plans for non-denim products.
- Deliver and develop a compelling product offer that is in line with style and SFC targets, has the right price positioning, and aligns with the brand vision.
- Develop collections based on the latest trend research and market performance information, including inspirational research, competitor research, and retail and wholesale performance information.
- Deliver within the collection development schedule, turnover budget, and seasonal margin targets.
- Compile and disseminate tools to the regions and sales teams to ensure they have all relevant information to sell the collection.
- Think big and always look for better ways of working to improve brand performance, think and act as a brand ambassador.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Bachelor/Master in Business and/or Fashion with at least six years of relevant experience in a similar role in product merchandising and fashion.
- Experience in working in a merchandising function in a fashion company.
- Proven ability to collaborate with design and product development teams to ensure the right products reach the right customers at the right price and time.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to utilize sales data and market research to inform decisions.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage budgets effectively.
- Fully comfortable working in English.
