We are looking for an HR Officer to join us! This role is part of our fun and diverse HR team with HR colleagues located in both Amsterdam and Valencia. Together, we work diligently to make our business feel supported in their daily operations and in their development within G-STAR.
In collaboration with two colleagues who are based in our office in Amsterdam, you’ll be in charge of making sure our HR operations run smoothly. Your primary focus will be supporting our staff in the Netherlands, but you will also assist our employees in Belgium, South Africa, and Bangladesh.
You are the key person for handling the core processes of hiring, developing, and terminating employment, ensuring every detail is flawlessly managed. You’ll do this by managing our HR systems, Daywize and Quinyx, and being the primary contact for HR-related inquiries.
- Prepare employee documentation in core processes for hiring, terminations, promotions, and other contract changes;
- Manage employee records by initiating processes and handling tasks in our HR systems, Daywize and Quinyx, ensuring that all processes are completed before the payroll deadline;
- Deliver a comprehensive and precise overview of the monthly changes to the payroll department for the Netherlands, Belgium, South Africa and Bangladesh;
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR policy and system-related questions, advising employees and HR Business Partners on topics like parental and special leaves;
- Perform other frequently occurring administrative and operational HR tasks, such as managing leave balances, preparing employer statements, processing 30% ruling applications and visa requests;
- Support HR Business Partners in handling long-term sickness cases and apply for sickness benefits at the different authorities;
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives, aligning with your personal learning goals and interests;
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve HR processes and services and optimize the utilization of our HR systems, including the implementation and use of AI tools.
- Beyond your numerous challenging tasks and responsibilities in a changing business environment, you’re able to see the bigger picture and give suggestions to make things better. For this, you are always critical and not afraid to challenge the status quo.
- Your glass is always half-full, and you know how to set your daily priorities.
- You are a fun and empathic team player, and capable of working independently while staying in close contact with your colleagues abroad.
- You preferably have basic knowledge on Dutch labor law and regulations concerning hiring expats.
- Aiming to evolve as an all-round HR Professional, you hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, and relevant experience in a similar role.
- Finally, do you have a strong personality and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with Dutch being a plus? We’d love to meet you!
