For our Sourcing department in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Junior Sourcing and Product Compliance Officer who will be a part of supply chain and product compliance management.
In this function, you will accomplish to establish effective and efficient processes between suppliers and G-STAR that support seamless day to day business operation on vital Sourcing functions and ensure product compliance with required regulations.
- Responsible for onboarding of new suppliers and new factories, providing guidance, training and facilitate effective and fast connection with internal stakeholders: Sourcing, IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Product Development, CSR, from prospect stage to full onboarding.
- Keep the supplier and factory profiles up to date and maintain administration of those on various systems such as PLM, SAP and G-STAR Sharefile platforms.
- Maintain and administrate manufacturing list, constant communication with suppliers on supply chain mapping, reporting to sustainability and sourcing teams.
- Escalate, manage and solve any inconsistency in processes between Vendor & G-STAR, by owning the vendor portal process.
- Supports the Head of Sourcing & Production operations manager in any (wider cross-functional) sourcing projects (i.e. new product groups, new suppliers, new country sourcing, sourcing risk management).
- Administration and maintenance of sustainability & compliance certificates.
- Support on brand level certification and audit processes and coordinate within internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor transparency and traceability processes within material and garment suppliers considering the product compliance requirements, including chemical compliance of products. (RSL/ MRSL).
- Proven track record in a similar role within a relevant fashion brand,
- Experience in the fashion production industry – around 1-3 years of work experience,
- Good understanding of international apparel trade, sourcing and CSR regulations,
- Excellent ability to manage & build external and cross divisional relationships,
- Good communication skills and ability to influence others in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment,
- Result driven problem solver with “can do” mentality,
- Analytical skills with solution-oriented approach,
- Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills,
- Fast adopter and team player,
- Fully comfortable working in English and Dutch!
