HERE'S WHAT WE'LL DO TOGETHER:
Just imagine – as our new Retail Operations intern, you will help us in analyzing and optimizing policies, procedures and communication from and to the stores in order to improve the store operations. You will be part of an amazing Retail team where you gain actual working experience in a fast moving, innovating international environment.
In this internship, you will experience what it means to work in a Retail team and support our European stores from our international headquarter in Amsterdam. The primary focus of the Retail Operations team is to provide support to the G-STAR retail and Outlet stores on day-to-day operations. This includes training/ coaching on company policies and procedures, stock-, POS-system-, cash-, asset management and any other tasks as required by the retail management team. The internship will focus on how to utilize the communication flows between our HQ and the local store teams. At G-STAR, you will get the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that is leading in denim innovation and sustainability.
YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Updating store information into various systems and databases, ensuring that reporting of all stores is directly processed and visible to relevant team members
- Keeping the total retail portfolio overview up-to-date
- Screening and improving internal policies and procedures
- Organizing relevant forms and documents that correspond to company standards
- Reviewing, updating and formatting guidelines and instruction manuals
- Investigating new or different communication tools
- Organizing retail operations calendars
- Investigating on and optimize internal task tools and checklists
- Supporting employee onboarding processes and arrangements.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- You are a Bachelor / Master student in (international) business/ retail related education.
- You have strong affinity and ambition for retail and preferably denim, fashion or the lifestyle industry.
- You are a pro-active, energetic and driven intern who wants to learn by doing.
- Experience with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Affinity with systems and technology.
- You are available full-time (40hrs per week) for a period of 6 months starting in February 2026.
- You are already living in the Netherlands and are in the possession of a BSN.
- You are enrolled at a university or college in the Netherlands during the whole length of the internship.
- If you are a non-EU student in The Netherlands, you are in possession of a mandatory internship assignment.
- Finally, if you have a strong personality and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, we’d love to meet you!
