HERE'S WHAT WE'LL DO TOGETHER:
In this HR internship, you will experience what it means to work within an HR team and support both Recruitment and HR Operations from our international headquarters in Amsterdam. You will contribute to the full recruitment process, helping to attract and engage talent for a wide range of roles. On the HR Operations side, you will support activities across the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, while helping maintain our HR systems and ensuring smooth day-to-day HR processes.
At G-STAR, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment known for its leadership in denim innovation and sustainability. Additionally, you will play a key role in building and guiding a strong community of interns by fostering connection, supporting their experience, and organizing engaging activities.
YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading the full internship recruitment campaign process (about 15-20 interns across all departments) for our Summer 2026 campaign.
- Uploading, reviewing and updating job descriptions within our HRIS Daywize following our internal standards.
- Publishing job offers on external job boards and social media.
- Screening CVs and applications for various positions across the business and creating a selection of candidates to be assessed further / interviewed.
- Scheduling and joining virtual/ personal interviews between managers and candidates.
- Scheduling Onboarding Days for our new hires.
- Ensuring good and ongoing campus relations with our partner universities, i.e going to career fairs and organizing partnered events.
- Contributing to AI implementation within the recruitment and HR processes.
- Leading G-STAR’s intern community & events.
- Maintaining and managing the HR system and the HR email inbox.
- Preparing employee documentation for the core processes of hiring, terminations and promotions.
- Supporting employee onboarding processes and arrangements.
- Supporting our HR back office to deliver an overview of the monthly changes to the payroll department.
- Supporting our HR officers and HR business partners as first point of contact for HR policy related questions for employees.
- Learning other frequently occurring administrative and/or operational HR tasks, such as preparing employer statements, submitting 30% ruling applications, administering special leaves such as maternity leave and parental leave, etc.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- You are pursuing a Bachelor/Master in a Human Resources related education.
- You are passionate about Human Resources, and wish to start learning the basics of HR. Within your study, you have started to develop a picture of how to best attract and match the right candidates for an organization, and ensure a seamless new hire and employee experience.
- Preferably, you are interested in Fashion/Retail.
- You are a pro-active, energetic and driven intern who wants to learn by doing.
- You are a multitasker, who enjoys working on multiple topics at the same time.
- You have experience with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) + a first experience with ATS/HRIS systems is a plus – if not, you will learn!
- You are available full-time (40hrs per week) for a period of 5 to 6 months starting in January (ideally) or February 2026.
- You are already living in the Netherlands and are in the possession of a BSN.
- You are enrolled at a university or college in the Netherlands during the whole length of the internship.
- If you are a non-EU student in The Netherlands, you are in possession of a mandatory internship assignment.
- Finally, if you have a strong personality and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, we’d love to meet you!
