HERE’S WHAT WE’LL DO TOGETHER:

The Marketplace Manager is responsible for driving the commercial, operational, strategic performance and portfolio expansion of G-STAR’s marketplace channels (Currently Zalando, About You, Secret Sales, OTTO, Showroom Privé, Limango and growing!). This role includes end-to-end ownership of business planning, partner management, budgeting, product assortment, onboarding execution, and overall operational excellence.
The position acts as a key link between partners, internal stakeholders, and marketplace platforms to ensure profitable growth and best-in-class customer experience.

YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Roadmap & Growth: Create and execute the annual business roadmap for new marketplace initiatives.
  • Trade Performance & Opportunity Analysis: Analyze and monitor trade performance across marketplaces, consolidate and present weekly sell-through insights to stakeholders, and identify new business opportunities that connect marketplace and wholesale teams.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the marketplace team in making sure operational processes and excellence are optimized.
  • Budget & P&L Ownership: Set annual budgets, monitor financial performance, and take responsibility for the P&L.
  • Commercial & Sales Strategy: Lead commercial and trade strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Profitability Management: Develop and analyze profitability strategies to support business growth.
  • Marketing & Assortment Strategy: Steer marketing spend and budget with the digital marketing manager and ensure the product mix is aligned with all stakeholders.
  • Seasonal Buying Support: Provide input to the buying team to support correct seasonal buying decisions.
  • Legal, Tax & Accounting Alignment: Work closely with legal, tax, and accounting to ensure smooth partner set up.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • A degree in business or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marketplace management, or a similar role, preferably within the fashion industry.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive actions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and partners.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills.
  • Understanding of commercial KPIs, P&L management, and digital merchandising.
  • Experience in Tableau is preferred.
  • Experience with Tradebyte is preferred.
  • Self-confident and energetic with strong business acumen
  • Finally, do you have a strong verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English? We’d love to meet you!
